Bible Sunday: An Invitation to Grow Together
In September, we celebrated Bible Sunday and the gift of God’s Word. Giving a child and or a young person a Bible is a beautiful moment. This year we expanded to our 6th through 12th grades. As well as remaining true to give children 3 years old and 3rd graders Bibles. What happens afterward is a calling we share as a church.
Children will open its pages with wonder. They will ask honest questions. They may hear a familiar story in a way that makes us stop and listen again. Our promise is to make room for that curiosity: to read with them, seek God with them, and remind them that they are loved.
No one in our church has all the answers. We are disciples learning together. So this October, let’s carry the spirit of Bible Sunday beyond one worship service. Ask a child what story they are reading. Share a story that has helped you. Open Scripture together at home, in Sunday School, or with a friend.
Each time we do, we help our children see that the Bible is a gift for their lives today—and that they have a church family ready to grow alongside them.

As we begin a new Sunday School year, I want to thank every person who has stepped forward to teach and care for our children. You are doing more than preparing a lesson. You are learning their names, making room for their questions, and helping them know they belong in God’s family.
September gave us a wonderful start. Now, as our classes settle into their fall rhythm, we would love to welcome more people to our teaching teams. You do not need to have every answer or teach every Sunday. Lessons and support are available, and we can talk through what fits your schedule.

PreK through 2nd Grade
We’re excited about our new Sunday School curriculum this fall: Big Faith. Within each session, children will be introduced to a faith concept, explore a Bible story together through storytelling and video, participate in age-appropriate, hands-on activities, and reflect on and share what they have learned with one another. Big Faith is fun, interesting, and volunteer-friendly (which our teachers love!). In our KidZ JAM e-mail each week, parents will learn what stories their children will learn on Sunday morning. (If you are not part of our KidZ JAM e-mail list, please contact the church office, and we’ll add you!)
3rd through 5th Grade
Our 3rd through 5th graders will learn more about the Bible and the wonderful teachings it offers about God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, and daily life. Using materials developed by JoDeen Cushman and Robin Hammer, they’ll learn the books of the Bible and how to read and look up scripture. They’ll learn important stories about the people of the Bible and understand that God’s Word teaches and guides us in our own lives.
What about 6th Graders?
Our 6th graders have been promoted! As middle schoolers, they will be participating in faith formation time on Sunday mornings with EJ Ragual. Check out the information on the Youth page!
Childcare for infants and toddlers is available every Sunday service with activities for 3-year-olds!
Children of all ages are always welcome to attend the entire worship service.
Please complete this registration form before your children attend our programs. You can also pick up a copy to fill out when you attend in person. We want to make sure we can contact you if there is an emergency and keep your children safe.
