The walk begins at 1:00 p.m.

Every October, We Participate In Kent CROP Hunger Walk
Walkers raise funds to help end hunger in our community and worldwide. Your participation impacts individuals and families in more than 30 countries. In many developing nations, people walk as many as 6 miles a day to get food and water. One in 9 people worldwide lack access to clean water and a healthy diet. We walk to be in solidarity with their struggle.
75% of the money collected will go to the worldwide efforts of Church World Service. For example, working with communities to help build sand dams that provide water, giving micro-nutrient packets to feed children, or tools and seeds to help keep a family fed and healthy.
25% will stay in Kent, benefiting local agencies such as:
Kent Community Supper, which feeds dinner each Monday night to anyone who comes to Kent Lutheran Church
Kent Food Bank.
