We Are Collecting Gently Used Warm Clothing

Tuesday, November 14 - Thursday, November 16

Calling all men (and their spouses)! It’s time to clean out your closet and bring your gently used clothing to church, so we can provide a free shopping experience for the men of H.O.M.E. as they stay with us in November. Summer clothing not needed, but warm clothing is very welcome! You may bring your clothing to the office from Tuesday, November 14 - Thursday, November 16.

Homeless Lunch

@ Kent Unity Church

Every other Friday, we provide lunch for about 50 homeless individuals at Kent Unity Church

Want to help but can’t make a regular commitment?

The Homeless Lunch Program gratefully accepts one time donations!

Here’s what we need every 4 weeks

  • 2 gallons whole milk
  • 60 sandwiches-any kind in individual sandwich bags, labeled
  • 60 fruit (apples are not as good because many of those we serve have poor teeth)
  • 60 cookies
  • 60 hot dogs
  • 60 hot dog buns
  • large pot of chili or cans of ready-made chili
  • wrapped candy
  • large pot of soup
  • White socks for men and/or women

You may choose to bring any portion of the needed amount. For example: 10 sandwiches, 20 fruit.
Perishable items should be brought close to the lunch dates

Please contact the church office at general@kentmethodist.com if you would like to help.
